Want to add some oomph to your steaks? As delectable as giant slabs of tender beef may be, it’s sometimes necessary to change things up.
One way to raise your game is by stuffing steak with mushrooms, spinach, and cheese, and then rolling them all up. Here’s how it’s done.
- 2 cups of sliced mushrooms
- 3 tablespoons of chopped garlic
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons of canola oil
- 1/2 tablespoon of salt
- 1/2 tablespoon of ground black pepper
- 2 pounds of flank steak
- 4 ounces of baby spinach
- 9 slices of provolone cheese
Note: this recipe serves six people.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 176 degrees Celsius.
Heat a tablespoon of the oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Place the garlic, onions, mushrooms, salt, and pepper in the pan and cook them until nearly all of the moisture has evaporated and the onions are caramelizing. Remove the pan’s contents from the heat and set them aside for now.
