In a pan over medium-high heat, put in the strips of bacon and cook them until they’re crispy. Transfer the cooked bacon strips to a cutting board and chop them all up.
In a bowl, put in the chopped bacon, cream cheese, green onions, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix them all up until they’re well combined.
Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and shape them into balls. Form a well into the center of each ball. Just make sure the well is large enough to contain the cheese mixture.
Place a quarter of the cheese mixture into the center of each ball, then enclose it inside the ground beef. Gently press each ball into a patty shape, then liberally season both sides of the patty with salt and pepper.
Pre-heat a cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Once the pan heats up, put in the burgers and cook them for about 4 to 5 minutes on one side.
Once one side is done, flip the burgers and cook them for about 2 minutes. Add a slice of cheese on each burger and cook for an additional 2 minutes, until the burger is cooked and the cheese is melted.
Remove burgers from pan, and place on top a toasted burger bun. Top with condiments of your choice. We recommend the basics: some ketchup on the bottom bun, lettuce, a slice of tomato, and onions.
Serve your bacon cheddar burgers and enjoy!
