Cook Like a Boss – Slow-Cooker Beef Stew

The classic, slow-cooker beef stew is the perfect dish to create during cold weekends. It’s incredibly simple to cook – and more importantly – hearty and delicious.

We’ve done a variation before called Beef Stroganoff, but today’s beef stew recipe is quite different. Its ingredients are different, and so is the taste and approach to cooking.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds of beef chuck roast
  • 1 celery stalk, diced
  • 1/3 cup of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon of pepper
  • 1 cup of red onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 28 oz. of canned plum tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 2 cups of red wine
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh sage, chopped
