Fake camel toe undies is now a thing

Camel toe is a slang term that refers to the outline of a woman’s outer labia under tight clothing (e.g. swimsuit bottoms, tight pants). It’s like a wedgie but in front, and it resembles a camel’s forefoot.

Having a camel toe is originally considered embarrassing. After all, who would ever want their private parts to be visible and immortalized in a photo?

We were so wrong.

Party in your pants

Apparently, there are women out there who want to be seen with camel toe – so much so that a Japanese company has made underwear with a camel toe shape on it. Made of silicone or some other thick fabric, the fake camel toe is sewn into the front of the underwear. These panties have been named “Party Pants“.

Interestingly, while the company started producing Party Pants a few years ago, it’s only now that sales of the special undies are picking up. Business trend analysts say Party Pants appeal to transgenders, particularly men transitioning to becoming women and wanting to conceal their manly parts.

Variants

Party Pants come in a range of colors and styles. There are said to be styles fitted with a tiny curtain that you can wear if you want to conceal the camel toe, then show it should you feel the urge. Other retailers have also produced more lifelike variants.

Seductive enough for you?

There are also women who supposedly get Party Pants to be “more seductive”.

The war against camel toe

On the flipside, there are other companies that make underwear to prevent this faux pas, like Cuchini whose tagline is: “Our lips are sealed.” Other retailers have also started producing variants of this underwear.

Truth be told, undies that prevent frontal wedgies make more sense to us. Then again, whatever floats your boat.
